Since childhood, for sure, many people have changed different things. For some, a certain item may seem unnecessary, while for another it carries a certain value. And the exchange is the best solution, since you can collect a complete collection from anything. Of course, this works with children, but with adults it is no longer possible.
But sometimes an adult remembers that he was once a child and tries to make an exchange. And there is one notorious story from Canada, where blogger Kyle MacDonald, after a series of exchanges, was able to make a two-story house out of a paper clip.
Of course, not every person, especially in his youth, can afford his own housing. And most often we are talking about renting an apartment, as was the case with Kyle. Since everything was not the best with work, the blogger played the Bigger Better game, where you just had to make more profitable exchanges.
But Kyle understood that he had nothing of value or that would be of interest to another person. There was only a red paper clip, which I just didn’t want to part with. But in 2005, an ad for an exchange appeared on the net, and this is where a fascinating story begins.
The first exchange offer was for a ballpoint pen, which looked like a small fish. And for this, Kyle even drove a little.
And on the same day, another transaction took place, and the ballpoint pen was exchanged for a homemade doorknob, which had the shape of a funny face. And here I also had to go on a short trip.
A few days later I had to go to Massachusetts, where the pen was exchanged for a gas stove for camping, also with fuel.
The next deal had to wait 2 months when the California resident decided to trade for barbecue. But something did not go according to plan, and in the end, the enthusiast somehow persuaded him to give him a kilowatt electric generator.
A couple of weeks, and instead of a generator, the Canadian received an empty beer keg, but the owner said that the container must be filled. Kyle did just that.
And this property has already been exchanged for a Ski-do snowmobile.
The new exchange only had to wait a week, and Kyle got a trip for two to the rocky mountains in Yakkh.
Another 7 days, and a camper van is at the disposal of the enthusiast.
On February 22, McDonald traded the van for a contract with the Metalworks recording studio.
And already in the summer of the same year, the aspiring singer decided to change the contract for the right to live in a house in Phoenix for 1 year.
But Kyle had other plans, and he changed this for the right to spend an evening with the notorious rock musician Alice Cooler.
A month later, there was a new exchange, and we managed to get a souvenir snow globe, where the inscription KISS flaunted.
Of course, there was a collector of such balls, which made it possible to star in the film “Donna on Demand”. The collector was the director.
And already on July 5, there was the last exchange, when the Kipling City Hall gave away a 2-story house for what Kyle had received from the director.
